About the role

As a Cover Supervisor at Chellaston Academy, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent. Working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, you will supervise pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment, and support students to stay engaged and make progress. Alongside classroom supervision, you will contribute to the wider life of the school by supporting examinations, educational visits, and departmental administration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, thrives in a varied environment, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to student success. You will have experience working with young people, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy school environment. A proactive approach, good ICT skills, flexibility, and a commitment to safeguarding are essential.
