Stifford Clays Primary School is seeking a caring, effective and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for an established Cover Supervisor or for an experienced Teaching Assistant who would like to build on their knowledge and skills. The role is one day per week (Friday), 8.30am to 3.30pm (6 hours 30 minutes per week), 37 weeks per year (term-time only).
Maintaining a stimulating, purposeful learning environment. Working with children with SEND. Supervising activities that have been set. Providing feedback to the classroom teacher on the pupils’ progress against lesson plans and conduct. Keeping pupil-related records. Dealing with any immediate problems according to school policies and procedures. Collecting completed work at the end of the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher. Providing additional support to teachers or carrying out administrative tasks when not covering a class. Acting as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and behaviour.
