Job description

You will be responsible for independently covering classes, often outside of your specialism, in the absence of the class teacher. You will also support the learning of students in your attached faculty. These abilities will be assessed at interview. We are looking for a Cover Supervisor educated to graduate level with an interest in how young people learn and enthusiasm for working in a school. Previous experience in schools is not necessary as full training is provided. This role would be particularly suitable for someone thinking of a career in teaching. There are many and varied professional development opportunities available and previous Cover Supervisors have successfully gained places on teacher training courses and progressed to become qualified teachers.
