Do you have a passion for literature, language, and leading others to inspire young minds? We are seeking a dynamic, ambitious, and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader of English to lead our English provision and inspire both students and colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner and committed leader to shape the direction of the English curriculum, drive high standards of teaching and learning, and foster a culture in which every student is supported to achieve their full potential. As Curriculum Leader of English, you will provide clear vision and leadership for the subject, developing a rich, ambitious, and engaging curriculum that builds students’ confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and communication. From inspiring a lifelong love of literature to strengthening literacy and securing excellent outcomes, you will play a key role in ensuring English is a vibrant, successful, and inclusive area of the school. As our new Curriculum Leader of English, you will: Provide strong and inspirational leadership for English, establishing a clear vision and high expectations for teaching, learning, and achievement. Lead the development and implementation of an ambitious, engaging, and inclusive English curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. Drive high standards of teaching and learning across the subject, modelling excellent classroom practice and supporting colleagues to develop their expertise. Foster a culture and love of reading, writing, literature, and language across the school. Monitor and evaluate student progress and outcomes, using assessment and data effectively to identify priorities and secure continued improvement. Support, develop, and motivate colleagues through effective coaching, collaboration, professional development, and the sharing of best practice. Ensure students are challenged and supported to develop their analytical, creative, literacy, and communication skills.
