Director of Curriculum Salary: £55,060 - £60,624 Grade: L1 - L5 Hours : Full Time Contract : Permanent Montem is a warm and vibrant multi-cultural primary school based in Slough, which has a wonderfully diverse community comprising of pupils and adults from a wide range of nations, ethnicities and cultures. Montem is committed to delivering a broad, engaging and bespoke curriculum to ensure our pupils are equipped with the skills and knowledge they will need in their education and future employment. From January 2027, Montem Academy is seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and committed Director of Curriculum. Working alongside teachers, the successful candidate would be responsible for curriculum development with a focus on design, implementation, monitoring, support and evaluation. We are looking for a candidate who has expertise and knowledge in curriculum content and delivery. As well as this, they will keep up to date on educational research and will make evidence-based implementations to the curriculum. This role will carry teaching responsibility as a class teacher. The additional leadership time will be provided to focus on curriculum development across the school. The ideal candidate will: Be an outstanding existing middle or senior leader with a proven track record of impact, creativity and rigour. Have a clear understanding of what constitutes outstanding provision for curriculum. Be able to identify, drive and secure improvements to ensure high standards in all areas. Be the figurehead and spokesperson for curriculum at academy and federation level. Have an excellent knowledge of curriculum and how to implement this effectively as a vehicle for progress and learning Have the ability to evaluate and plan strategically, motivate and inspire both staff and students To have experience of having contributed to policy formulation, implementation, evaluation and review Have a clear understanding of assessment and a proven ability to interpret data and use it to focus improvements.
