Burrough Green, Cambridgeshire Part-Time | Term Time Only Salary 2, P4 - £13.05 per hour (£7,881 per annum) + Overtime Available Start Date: 1 September 2026 Join Our Friendly Village School Community! Burrough Green CE Primary Academy is a small, welcoming village school located just 20 minutes from Cambridge, 9 minutes from Newmarket and 16 minutes from Haverhill. We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and caring individual to support our children in our Breakfast Club and After-School Club provision. This role would suit someone considering a career in childcare or education, as well as experienced childcare practitioners looking to make a positive difference in children's lives. Working Hours Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) 7:30am - 8:50am (Breakfast Club) 3:15pm - 5:30pm (After-School Club) Contracted hours: 13.75 hours per week The After-School Club role is contracted until 4:45pm each day. Any time worked between 4:45pm and 5:30pm will be paid as overtime . What You'll Be Doing Supervising and engaging children in fun, age-appropriate activities and games Preparing simple food and drinks Maintaining records as required Communicating effectively with parents and school staff Reporting any issues or concerns to teaching staff Attending relevant training when required Administering basic first aid when necessary We're Looking For Someone Who Is: ✔ Kind, caring and patient ✔ Enthusiastic and creative ✔ A strong communicator with children and adults ✔ Able to work as part of a team and use their own initiative ✔ Positive, reliable and organised ✔ Equipped with a good sense of humour Essential Requirements Experience working with children or a genuine desire to pursue a career in childcare Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues Desirable Level 3 Early Years Qualification Paediatric First Aid Qualification Full training will be provided.
