About the role

We are seeking reliable, organised and professional individuals to join our team of Exam Invigilators. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexible, casual work while playing a vital role in supporting students during their examinations. As an Exam Invigilator, you will help ensure that examinations are conducted fairly, securely and in accordance with examination board regulations. You will provide a calm and supportive environment that enables students to perform at their best while maintaining the integrity of the examination process.

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will:

Check attendance and record late arrivals or early departures. Distribute and collect examination papers and materials. Ensure examinations start and finish on time. Maintain examination conditions and enforce examination regulations. Monitor students throughout examinations to prevent malpractice. Report any irregularities or concerns to the Examinations Officer. Respond appropriately to situations such as illness, fire alarms or authorised breaks. Support students with additional needs, including acting as a scribe where required. Carry out associated administrative duties relating to examinations. Attend relevant training and professional development activities as required.

What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who:

Has excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately. Can remain calm, professional and vigilant under pressure. Has strong communication and interpersonal skills. Is reliable, punctual and flexible. Can work independently and as part of a team. Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Previous invigilation experience is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided. Why Join Us? Flexible, casual working arrangements. Full training and ongoing support. Opportunity to contribute to students' success and wellbeing. Friendly and supportive working environment. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants are required to declare all convictions and cautions, even those that are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules, to assess suitability to work with children. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to disclose information relevant to safeguarding prior to interview.
