Job description

The purpose of this role is two-fold. This is a key position within the school; reporting to the Technical Services Team Leader and the Trust’s Information Officer. Working closely with the senior staff of Perins school, the Progress Leads, and SENDCo, you will be responsible for the effective administration and guidance of all aspects of internal and external examinations and formal tests in accordance with procedures laid down by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), other awarding bodies and the school. In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day collection, collation and distribution of assessment data within the school utilizing our assessment and analysis platforms. This is a busy and varied role so you must be confident working under pressure and prioritising tasks. You will have knowledge of examination procedures and experience in administering public examinations. Good problem solving skills are essential and you should be confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels. Perins School offers a supportive and rewarding work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth. Employees benefit from free use of the gym at Perins School, access to an Employee Assistance Programme, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and discounts at Perins Preschool and the Sun Hill Junior School Breakfast and Afterschool Club. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible. Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools We currently do not use AI tools in our recruitment processes; however, we understand that you may choose to use AI tools to help you with your application. If you do, please remember: AI-generated answers can often be generic and impersonal, which may not accurately reflect your qualifications, skills, and experiences. AI-generated applications may lack the personal touch that human-written applications have, this may make you seem less engaged or interested. Ensure the information provided genuinely represents your own voice and experience. You must not provide false or misleading information. If you rely too heavily on AI you might not develop the necessary skills to communicate your experiences and qualifications effectively in interviews or other stages of the hiring process. This may make you come across to the interviewer as a different person to the one that wrote the application form, and you may not be successful in the interview.
