Join Our Team as a Re-engagement Assistant! Location: Lealands High School Grade: L5 Responsible to: Head of Lealands Education Aspirations Programme (LEAP) About the Role Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives? Lealands High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Re-engagement Assistant to support students in overcoming barriers to learning. In this vital role, you will assist students who find it challenging to regulate their emotions within mainstream education, empowering them to effectively re-engage, manage their progress, and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Targeted Learning Support: Contribute to short-, medium-, and long-term teaching and learning plans for individual students and small groups. Emotional & Behavioural Regulation: Work closely with students to help them manage their emotions, develop coping strategies, and successfully integrate into mainstream classes. Student Progression: Monitor student progress, track educational outcomes, and support the attainment of expected academic goals. Collaborative Working: Partner with the LEAP Centre Manager, teaching staff, and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support frameworks. What We Are Looking For A strong commitment to student welfare, inclusion, and educational achievement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with students, staff, and parents. Experience or a strong interest in working with young people who experience emotional, social, or behavioural challenges. Resilience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in an educational setting.
