About the role

Jesson’s Church of England Primary School and our Diocese Trust are seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead our large, diverse and vibrant school into its next phase. Following the retirement of our long‑serving Headteacher, this is a significant opportunity to shape the future of a community that is rich in potential and guided by a strong Christian vision. With over 700 pupils, a committed staff team and a clear foundation for improvement, Jesson’s is ready for a leader who can bring clarity, ambition and a deep commitment to securing the very best for every child. Rooted in the Church of England’s Vision for Education and the school’s ethos of “Be the best you can be,” you will lead with purpose, compassion and conviction.

We are looking for someone who will:

Interviews:

Day 1 - 25th November Day 2 - 26th November In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, and as part of our recruitment process, the Trust will carry out an online search on all shortlisted candidates. This is to help identify any incidents or concerns that are publicly available which may pose a safeguarding risk or bring the Trust into disrepute. Any such findings will be shared with the recruitment lead and may be discussed at interview. All required pre-employment checks will be undertaken, and offers of employment are subject to satisfactory outcomes. These include an enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List information, identity checks, online checks, and verification of professional qualifications and references.
