SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant Salary: Thurrock Band C Point 13-19 (£25,472.09 - £29,198.29 actual salary per annum) 37 hours and 30 minutes per week Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm (30 min unpaid break) 38 weeks of the year - term time plus inset days We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our school and help shape its future. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic classroom practitioner, with excellent organisational skills and a good rapport with children, to be Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) within our SEND Inclusion Base. This position will involve: Supporting pupils, to ensure they are engaged in learning activities Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom Acting as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour, to create a safe and inclusive learning environment Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures about health & safety, welfare and wellbeing and safeguarding Establishing positive relationships with the pupils, parents and other staff in the school The successful candidate will: Be passionate, creative, motivated and has a positive outlook Have good basic English and Mathematics (GCSE Level 4 - 9 or equivalent) Have previous LSA experience or relevant qualification (HLTA or Level 6 qualification would be desirable) Be committed to raising outcomes of all students Be a great communicator with excellent organisational skills and a helpful attitude Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team Be dedicated to good classroom management Care about the welfare and achievement of every child Be innovative and has a passion for improvement Have excellent written skills with the ability to multi-task Remain calm under pressure and remain positive Follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students’ welfare Arthur Bugler Primary School is a member of the Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust.
