Our schools work in collaboration to transform the lives of the children and communities we serve. The Role: Woodhill Primary School is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The role of HLTA at Woodhill is an integral one to support both the teachers who are taking their PPA and the children’s learning in the classroom. The HLTA takes on greater responsibility than a TA, including covering classes and planning and teaching their own lessons. You must have experience of teaching in EYFS, key stage one and key stage two. You must have a strong knowledge of the EYFS and primary curriculum from key stage one up to key stage two. You must ensure you have the capacity and flexibility to be deployed across the school to provide high quality teaching and learning whilst maintaining strong relationships and behaviour for learning. The successful candidate will be someone who is keen to build on their passion for providing our young people with the very best learning experiences. The successful candidate will: Have experience of working with children with special educational needs would be an advantage. Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils. Lead lessons and ensure provision is in place in the teacher’s absence. Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement.
