The Holt House and Carterknowle Schools Federation is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our staff and to be based at Carterknowle Junior School.
We are looking for an experienced HLTA who has excellent teaching and classroom management skills. You will need to have experience of working with primary aged children and supporting them effectively both in and out of the classroom. You will need to have high expectations for what junior children can achieve both in their learning and in their independence, while being able to provide good pastoral support and care. Excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills are essential for this post. The selection process involves shortlisting candidates through the matching of information from the application form, job description and person specification. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to school for practical assessment tasks, which may then result in a formal interview. Please include the email addresses for your two referees in your application. If shortlisted and as part of our safer recruitment and due diligence checks, your references will need to be secured prior to interview. A designated person will also carry out online checks, in line with KCSIE 2023 point 221 on shortlisted candidates. If asked to attend interview you will be required to bring with you your certificate evidence of GCSE/A-Level/ other relevant qualifications.
