Higher Level Teaching Assistant Pool Hayes Primary School - Bridgnorth Grove, Willenhall, WV12 4RX 35.75 Hours | Term Time Only | Monday to Friday Start Date: ASAP Pro Rata Salary: £28,613.95 (£34,430 FTE)

The Role:

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced teaching support professional looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant who is confident working across a primary school setting and has the skills, enthusiasm and ambition to deliver high-quality learning experiences for our pupils. As a HLTA, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will have responsibility for teaching whole classes and covering teachers during their PPA time, management time, training and other school development requirements.

You will be expected to:

Organise and manage appropriate learning environment and resources Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals Monitor and evaluate pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record progress as directed Administer and assess/mark tests Contribute to raising standards of pupils’ achievement by undertaking a range of teaching and learning activities with whole classes, specified groups, or individual pupils.

We are looking for someone who has:

HLTA status or equivalent qualification; Previous experience of supporting children’s leaning in a school; Experience of leading learning with individuals, groups and whole classes, including excellent classroom management skills; Excellent inter-personal skills, with both children and adults; Good time-management and organisational skills.
