About the role

We wish to appoint a permanent, enthusiastic and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for 35 hours per week, term time only basis to join our team at Skelton Primary School to work within our Treetop SEND Provision and potentially cover PPA as and when required. This exciting role will predominantly involve leading and driving forward our SEND provision with children in KS1 and KS2 and to support their experiences outside of school hours in after school clubs. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering engaging learning experiences, committed to inclusion and able to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues. You will be joining a talented and supportive staff team within a high-quality learning environment, where professional collaboration is valued and every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are committed to investing in our staff and offer excellent opportunities for continued professional development (CPD). Your role as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant is to advance pupils’ learning in a range of classroom settings, including working with individual pupils or groups and whole classes where the assigned teacher is not present, e.g. PPA time or covering short term absence. Activities involve planning, preparing and delivering learning lessons as well as monitoring pupils, assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development, under the direction of the class/subject teacher. Working hours will include; Monday 8.30am - 3.30pm

Tuesday 8.30am -3.30pm

Wednesday 8.30am - 4.45pm (To work in the after school provision for additional support)

Thursday 8.30am - 4.45pm (To work in the after school provision for additional support)

Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm
