About the role

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly skilled Inclusion Consultant to join our dedicated team. Working under the direction of the Inclusion Team Leader and Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting mainstream school staff with pupils who may present with challenging behaviours, helping them to thrive within a mainstream educational setting.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a professional who is passionate about inclusion, relationship-based practice, and ensuring that every child has the support they need to succeed.

As an Inclusion Consultant, you will provide expert guidance and practical inclusion strategies to support pupils whose behaviour may place them at risk of exclusion. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

High expectations and a commitment to inclusion. Advanced subject knowledge in identifying pupils at risk of exclusion and their specific needs. The ability to motivate and support mainstream teachers and SENCOs to implement appropriate inclusion strategies with pupils at risk of exclusion. A growth mind-set and a desire to continue your own continued professional development, alongside the willingness to learn and be reflective in your own practice. Ability to be flexible, adaptive and versatile in an ever-changing work environment. Ability to be able to work as part of an effective and successful team. Ability to be empathetic, caring and have a high level of humility. Ability to be able to work under your own initiative, showing creativity when faced with a challenge. A positive attitude towards work and a willingness to work hard. A commitment to engaging in Continuous Professional Development.
