About the role

We are looking for a committed Vocational Instructor to support the learning and development of our pupils. This role involves delivering high-quality, practical lessons that help learners build useful, transferable skills and make strong progress. You will work with a range of pupils, including those with SEND, adapting your approach to meet individual needs. The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and able to create a calm, purposeful learning environment. A strong understanding of safeguarding, along with a genuine interest in supporting pupil wellbeing, is essential. You will play an important part in helping pupils engage positively with education and achieve their potential through hands-on learning experiences. For a full list of duties, please see the job description below. Wave Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 2020 & 2023). This means that certain convictions and cautions are considered ‘protected’ and do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account.
