Astrea Academy Netherwood is an 11-16 academy which opened in September 2012, set in an extensive £35 million campus. As part of Astrea Academy Trust, Astrea Academy Netherwood is in an exciting period of development. We are looking for a Reading Mentor with high aspirations and expectations for themselves and our scholars, and with a passion for bringing about positive change throughout the academy. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, focussed on improvement and have an unconditional positive regard for all young people. The Reading Mentor is required to support in shaping the education of our scholars, making every day count and providing high quality and memorable learning for everyone. You will work alongside an exceptional and supportive team of professionals, both teachers and wider support staff who strive to deliver outstanding learning and develop individuals who become confident, lifelong learners with aspirations for their futures.
