We are looking for a Janitor to join St Mary’s Catholic Academy, Leek , part of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi-Academy Trust .

About the Role:
As our Janitor, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. You will help ensure the smooth daily running of the school and contribute to the warm, caring atmosphere that makes our community special. This is a term-time position, working 10 hours per week (2 hours per day, 1 hour in the morning, 1 in the afternoon), working pattern as agreed with the Principal. with flexibility in working hours required.
Main Responsibilities:
Carrying out daily cleaning duties in classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and communal areas
Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required
Ensuring the school is clean, safe, and secure at all times
Opening and locking up the school premises
Monitoring stock levels of cleaning materials and reporting when supplies are low
Reporting any health and safety issues, hazards, or necessary repairs
Assisting with setting up for school events, furniture moves, or deliveries
