KS1 Class Teacher Bosley St Mary’s CE Primary School Full Time Start date: As soon as possible - ideally immediately after October half term About this Role This is a fantastic opportunity to join Bosley St Mary’s CE Primary School at an exciting point in our development. We are a small, friendly and ambitious rural primary school where relationships matter, children are known as individuals and staff have the opportunity to make a genuine difference. Our vision is simple: Every Learner Flourishing . We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and committed KS1 Class Teacher to join our team as soon as possible. This role would suit someone who loves teaching, has high expectations for children and is excited by the opportunity to work within a small-school environment where their contribution will genuinely matter. We are looking for a teacher who combines warmth with high expectations; who understands the importance of strong foundations, clear routines and excellent teaching; and who believes that every child can succeed. The Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for teaching within Key Stage 1 and will work closely with colleagues across our small school team.
provide consistently high-quality teaching and learning;
create a calm, purposeful and inclusive classroom environment;
establish clear routines and high expectations for learning and behaviour;
ensure learning is ambitious and appropriately adapted so that all pupils can succeed;
develop strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics;
use assessment effectively to identify gaps, respond to pupils’ needs and plan next steps;
support pupils with SEND and additional needs through thoughtful, inclusive classroom practice;
work effectively with teaching assistants and other colleagues;
build positive relationships with pupils and families;
contribute to curriculum development and school improvement; and
play an active part in the wider life of Bosley St Mary’s.
holds Qualified Teacher Status;
is an excellent, reflective classroom practitioner;
has high expectations of both learning and behaviour;
has a strong understanding of effective teaching in Key Stage 1;
understands how children develop secure foundations in early reading, writing and mathematics;
is committed to inclusive practice and ambitious outcomes for all pupils;
can adapt teaching effectively while maintaining high expectations;
builds warm, positive relationships with children while providing clear and consistent boundaries;
is organised, proactive and willing to take responsibility;
enjoys working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team;
is open to feedback and committed to continuing professional development;
is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; and
will support the Christian vision and values of Bosley St Mary’s CE Primary School.
