About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and highly motivated Learning Mentor to join our dedicated team. This rewarding role involves supporting children and families to overcome barriers to learning, enabling every child to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils requiring additional pastoral, emotional and behavioural support, delivering targeted interventions, building positive relationships with families and liaising effectively with a range of external agencies. They will play a key role in promoting attendance, wellbeing, inclusion and positive outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience of working with children, young people and families, particularly those facing social, emotional or behavioural challenges.

Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents and carers.

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to hold challenging conversations with sensitivity and professionalism.

Understands safeguarding procedures and is committed to promoting the welfare of children.

Can work effectively as part of a multi-agency team.

Is organised, proactive and able to maintain accurate records and reports.

Has a passion for making a difference to the lives of children and families.
