Learning Resource Centre Assistant

The working pattern for this role will be 10am - 2pm (Monday - Friday). We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and approachable Learning Resource Centre Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of our busy Learning Resource Centre. Working alongside the MAT Librarian, you will help create an engaging learning environment that encourages reading, research and independent learning for our students. This varied role includes assisting students and staff with accessing library resources, maintaining and cataloguing stock, promoting reading initiatives, delivering library inductions and reading groups, and supporting the effective use of ICT within the Learning Resource Centre. You will also supervise students and contribute to creating a welcoming and productive learning space. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience of working in a library, educational setting or with young people would be advantageous but is not essential.
