Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Hotwells Primary School Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30am – 3.30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break) | Term Time Only (45.6 paid weeks) Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st August 2026 Salary: FTE £27,274 per annum (Actual pro-rata salary approx. £20,957 per annum) Start Date: As soon as possible Applications are invited from charismatic, enthusiastic, and suitably qualified Learning Support Assistants for this exciting and rewarding post. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, working alongside teaching staff to deliver learning activities. Assist teachers in the plan, do, review cycle, including record keeping and resource preparation. Help implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies and record incidents on CPOMs. Monitor pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to EHCPs and SEND Support Plans. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times. Candidate Requirements Proven experience working with primary-aged children, ideally supporting pupils with SEND. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic school team. A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development. A positive attitude, resourcefulness, and a sense of humor.
