Job description

Malvern Parish CE Primary School is a friendly and caring school with our children and families at its heart. As a Church of England school, we work closely with our local church community and celebrate the Christian values in action which help our children develop spiritual, physical and mental wellbeing. The Local Academy Board of Malvern Parish CE Primary Schoolis seeking to appoint a learning support assistant to work with a child in KS2. The role will include both providing support for children in class and delivering interventions. The successful candidate will be expected to provide general classroom support when required, working alongside the classroom teacher and to deliver programmes of learning to specific individuals / small groups of pupils. Experience of working across the primary age range is desirable although experience in specific year groups will also be considered. Applicants should state any previous experience or areas of expertise they may be able to bring to the school. The duties and responsibilities allocated to the post will be based on the skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications of the individual appointed. The successful candidates will: - Be sensitive to the needs of individual learners - Be enthusiastic and determined to make learning fun - Have experience of leading interventions - Be passionate about good teaching and learning - Have good English and Maths skills - Be responsible and resourceful - Have relevant qualifications - Be committed to raising the level of achievement for all pupils, regardless of economic background or other need - Have a positive, cheerful attitude - Be able to work effectively as part of a team - Be able to support the social and emotional development of our pupils - Have an awareness of promoting mental health and wellbeing for all - Be able to reflect the values of our Church school We can offer: - opportunity for individualised CPD and other training - a caring, community who embody our school vision and values - happy, well-behaved, enthusiastic and motivated pupils who are proud of their school and enjoy learning - a supportive Governing Body Malvern Parish Church of England Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
