Then take a look at what we have to offer you… We are seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant for a fixed term period until 20th August 2027 to work in a Reception Class in our Early Years at Brownlow School. Monday - Friday, term time only plus the 5 inset days (39 weeks). Specific hours can be discussed with the schools directly. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant who will work as an assistant in the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher and support from our team members. We are looking for someone who is reflective and skilled and can motivate and encourage children as required. You might want to consider this as a stepping stone into teaching and apply to train within our Academy Trust or you might want to develop your role across our schools in the future within a specific area such as behaviour support, ASD children or pastoral needs. You will be required to provide support for teaching and learning activities. This may include providing general support for whole class learning activities or supporting individuals or small groups of pupils to reinforce new skills or knowledge. Experience of working with children with SEN and knowledge of Child Protection and Health and Safety policies are essential. It would be desirable that you have an NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent or some experience of working with children. Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English are essential, or currently working towards. Along with good interpersonal skills, you will be emphatic with children and young people, and be able to work effectively as part of a whole school staff team. About the Mowbray Education Trust The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton.
