About the role

We are looking for a flexible and hardworking School Support Assistant to join our dedicated and supportive team. The successful candidate will be adaptable, enthusiastic and highly motivated, with a genuine commitment to maintaining a safe, welcome and organised environment for our staff and students. They will share our high expectations and demonstrate a strong commitment to the values and ethos of Middleton Primary School. Working closely with teachers and other colleagues, you will play an important role in supporting the continuation of our high-quality teaching environment and ensuring the continued success of school events and fundraising campaigns. The role will include general school support, supervision and support for staff & students over lunchtime, as well as preparation of resources in line with school requirements.

The successful candidate will:

Assist with the preparation, set-up and running of school events, special projects & fundraising initiatives Support general cleaning, organisation and preparation of resources as required. Assist with light school maintenance and fixing or updating of classroom or corridor displays. Provide active supervision and support to pupils during structured and unstructured periods whilst also promoting positive behaviour and safety. Assist with setting up the lunch hall, clearing away after lunch and supervising the children during lunch. Demonstrate flexibility and be willing to meet the changing needs and priorities of the school.. Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of Middleton Primary School.
