Job description

Inspire the next generation of Health and Social Care professionals at Yeovil College. We're looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Lecturer to deliver engaging lessons across Levels 1, 2 and 3, helping learners develop the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to succeed. As part of our supportive team, you'll deliver high-quality teaching that brings Health and Social Care to life, using our outstanding industry-standard facilities, including a fully equipped hospital ward ,an Anatomage Table and realistic home care environments. You'll work closely with course managers and colleagues to plan engaging lessons, assess learner progress, develop curriculum resources and provide outstanding support that enables every student to achieve their potential. You'll also contribute to curriculum development, student recruitment, enrichment activities and employer engagement, while promoting equality, diversity in everything you do. Our Health and Social Care courses enjoy strong student recruitment, excellent retention and positive outcomes, making this an exciting opportunity to join a team that's passionate about transforming lives and preparing learners for rewarding careers. What we're looking for: Experience teaching or training in Health and Social Care (or relevant industry experience), with a passion for developing learners. A relevant degree and a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one). Experience supporting, tutoring and assessing learners, including tracking progress and setting targets. Ability to develop engaging learning resources and deliver innovative, inclusive teaching. Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. A collaborative team player with a positive, resilient and flexible approach. Confident using classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning. High expectations of yourself and your learners, with a commitment to equality, diversity and student success.
