About the role

We are seeking two Fixed Term (for 12 months) Lunchtime Supervisors at Copthorne Primary School. The successful candidates will ensure effective supervision and safety of children throughout the school lunchtime period, both in the dining hall and outside in the playground. The role will involve creating a positive lunchtime experience by encouraging good table manners, supporting social skills, promoting inclusive play and managing behaviour consistently. The successful candidate will:

Supervise pupils in the dining hall, encouraging positive behaviour, manners and a calm atmosphere Monitor and support pupils on the playground and in other indoor or outdoor areas during lunchtime Encourage positive play, helping children to join in games, resolve minor conflicts and build friendships Support the smooth running of lunchtimes by setting up or clearing away equipment as needed Model and reinforce the school's behaviour expectations and safeguarding policies at all times Have experience working with children in a similar role Understand the importance of safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing in a school setting
