Job description

Are you looking for a rewarding role working with young people in a supportive and friendly environment? Lancaster Girls' Grammar School is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team. As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring the safety, welfare, and enjoyment of our pupils during the lunch break. You will be responsible for supervising pupils in the dining hall, main school hall, and around the school, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping to create a caring and inclusive atmosphere. A commitment to safeguarding the welfare of all students. We are looking for candidates who will: Have a sense of humour, caring nature and build strong relationships with everyone. Be reliable, approachable, and have strong communication skills. Complement our team with their enthusiastic and positive attitude. Be able to supervise large groups of students effectively. Use their initiative to engage students in appropriate behaviours. Thrive in a busy school environment. The postholder will primarily work as part of a team to ensure the supervision, safety and welfare of students during the midday break. Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School is a forward looking, selective state school with academy status and an outstanding record of promoting academic excellence. There are currently just over 1,000 students on roll across years 7 to 13. The admission policy prioritises girls from the Lancaster District, but students do travel to us from across Lancashire and Cumbria.
