Midday Supervisor

We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team at Caldecote Primary School. Our Midday Supervisors play a vital role in ensuring the safety, welfare and wellbeing of pupils during lunchtime whilst promoting the values and ethos of the school. Working alongside staff and school leaders, you will help create a happy, safe and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected and supported. You will encourage positive behaviour, support children's friendships and wellbeing, promote active and cooperative play, and help pupils develop the skills they need to become: Successful Learners Confident Individuals Responsible Citizens Effective Contributors

Enjoys working with children and helping them thrive. Is patient, caring, approachable and positive. Can build strong relationships with pupils. Remains calm and responds appropriately in challenging situations. Can encourage positive behaviour and respectful relationships. Supports inclusion and ensures all children feel welcome and involved. Is able to supervise groups of children safely and effectively. Can work successfully as part of a team. Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy. Shares our commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion. Is willing to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding and first aid.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Supervise pupils safely during lunchtime in the dining hall, playground and other areas of the school. Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's values, Behaviour Policy and Therapeutic Thinking approach. Support children to develop friendships, resilience, independence and social skills. Encourage active, imaginative and cooperative play. Help maintain a calm and positive dining environment. Support pupils with SEND, medical needs or additional vulnerabilities to participate fully in lunchtime activities. Deal appropriately with accidents, incidents and welfare concerns. Report safeguarding, welfare and behavioural concerns in accordance with school procedures. Work closely with colleagues to ensure a safe, inclusive and enjoyable lunchtime experience for all pupils.
