Are you caring, approachable and passionate about helping children have a happy and positive experience at school? We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team and help create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable lunchtime environment for our pupils. This is an important role within our Academy. You will help ensure that children feel supported, included and safe, while encouraging positive behaviour, good manners and opportunities to play, socialise and develop friendships. As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will: Supervise pupils throughout the lunchtime period, helping to maintain a safe and positive environment. Support children in the dining hall, including helping them develop basic skills such as using cutlery and opening food packaging. Encourage pupils to take part in social games and activities, helping them to develop confidence and positive social skills. Provide pastoral support and encourage kindness, good behaviour, self-discipline, good manners and mutual respect. Positively challenge inappropriate behaviour and ensure any concerns are reported in line with Academy procedures. Remain vigilant to the wellbeing of pupils and report any safeguarding concerns promptly through the appropriate Academy procedures. Play an important part in supporting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all pupils. About You You do not necessarily need previous experience. A positive attitude and the ability to build warm, professional relationships with children are just as important.
Enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference to their school day. Is caring, patient and approachable. Can encourage positive behaviour and model high standards. Is confident working as part of a team. Is reliable, responsible and able to use their initiative. Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
