If so, St Simon and St Jude Church of England Primary School would love to hear from you. We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is an important role within our school community, helping to ensure that lunchtimes are safe, enjoyable and well-organised for all pupils.

The core purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of children during the school lunchtime period. The successful candidate will supervise pupils both while they are eating and during playtimes, indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. They will promote positive behaviour ensuring that children are safe, engaged and supported throughout the lunchtime session. The role requires an individual who can build positive relationships with children, promote inclusive and enjoyable play opportunities. You will organise and oversee play equipment, ensure outdoor areas are left in a suitable condition after lunchtime, and remain vigilant to any health, safety or welfare concerns. You will also provide support to children who become unwell or have an accident, administering basic first aid where appropriate and ensuring incidents are recorded correctly. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, has good communication skills, works well as part of a team and shares our commitment to helping every child feel safe, valued and able to thrive.
