Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and reliable Mid-Day Supervisor to join our friendly and dedicated team. The successful candidate will help create a safe, happy, and inclusive environment where children can enjoy their lunchtime, build positive friendships, and return to class ready to learn. As an important member of our school community, you will support children during lunchtime by promoting positive behaviour, encouraging active and purposeful play, and always ensuring their safety and wellbeing. You will work closely with colleagues to provide high-quality care and supervision, contributing positively to the wider life of the school. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, values teamwork, communicates positively, and is committed to helping make lunchtimes a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience for every child. We are seeking an individual who: Is enthusiastic, caring, and enjoys working with children, helping to create a safe, happy, and welcoming lunchtime environment where everyone feels included. Has a genuine passion for supporting children's wellbeing and understands the importance of positive play, social interaction, and encouraging good behaviour during lunchtime. Is reliable, positive, and enjoys working as part of a team, while also using their own initiative when needed. Has excellent communication skills and can build warm, positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families. Can encourage children to play safely, resolve minor disagreements calmly, and promote kindness, respect, and good manners. Is committed to providing high-quality care and supervision, ensuring children's safety and helping every child feel valued, supported, and able to enjoy their lunchtime. Is keen to learn, share ideas, and contribute to making lunchtime a positive, enjoyable, and rewarding experience for every child.
