Midday Supervisor

We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Midday Supervisory Assistant to help make lunchtime the highlight of every child’s day! You’ll supervise play and dining, promote positive behaviour, support pupil wellbeing, and help create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment as part of our caring school community.

Key responsibilities:

Supervising pupils immediately before, during and after the lunchtime period, including those having school meals and those bringing packed lunches. Supporting the maintenance of a clean, safe and welcoming dining environment by encouraging pupils to clear away trays, litter and personal belongings responsibly. Supervising pupils during outdoor play and recreational activities. Assisting pupils with any difficulties that may arise during lunchtime and providing appropriate support where necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

Basic first aid awareness (or willingness to train), good organisation, and a general education (e.g. GCSEs or equivalent), with prior school-based experience desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils and staff. Ability and experience of managing behaviour positively and consistently in line with school policies. A caring, proactive approach to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing with up to date training. Teamwork skills with the confidence to work independently when required.
