About the role

The working hours for this role are expected to be 11:30 - 13:30, Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The start date for this role is as soon as possible. Castle Mead School is seeking to appoint a committed and energetic MDSA to join their team. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils. As a Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA), you will play an important role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour of pupils during the lunchtime period. You will supervise children in the dining hall and around the school site, supporting them while they eat and participate in lunchtime activities. Responsibilities include setting up and clearing dining areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and carrying out minor first aid where required. You will promote positive behaviour in line with school policies, helping children to develop respectful relationships and make the most of their social time. The role involves communicating effectively with pupils and colleagues, reporting any concerns relating to accidents, illness, behaviour, or safeguarding, and maintaining accurate records where necessary. You will support the school's values and ethos through your professional conduct, reliability, and commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all pupils.
