About the role

Family Support Outreach Worker (Solihull Schools) Leadership Scale, Point L14 £71,329.00 pro rata (pay award pending) 2.5 days per week Fixed term contract for 12 months from January 2027 We are seeking to appoint an experienced senior leader who can co-ordinate off-site directions and managed moves on behalf of schools working in partnership across Solihull. This is a fixed term appointment, for 12 months from January 2027, which could be a secondment opportunity where appropriate. The FSOW will be responsible for working in partnership with all secondary settings in Solihull as well as schools across the border to support pupils at risk of permanent exclusion and those struggling to attend their current provision. The role includes responsibility for developing positive relationships with school staff and families so that appropriate placements are made which are in the best interests of vulnerable pupils. Along with securing successful placements, the FSOW will monitor and track off-site directions, providing early intervention and maintaining accurate records accessible to all partnering schools. This newly developed role is an exciting opportunity to build on excellent partnership working across schools in the best interests of our young people. You must disclose details of all unfiltered reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions as these will be disclosed by the DBS. It is an offence to apply for a role which involves regulated activity by an applicant who is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
