About the role

39 weeks per year 32.5 hours per week (term time plus 5 training days) Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential? Do you enjoy working in a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic school environment? If so, we would love to hear from you! Newman School is seeking to appoint a dedicated Achievement Support Assistant to join our committed team of staff. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is flexible, and is enthusiastic about supporting students' learning and well-being. The school is a split site (Dinnington and Whiston), and although the role will be based primarily at one site, there is the expectation the role may work between the sites when needed. About the Role As an Achievement Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other staff to support students in and out of the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers to learning. You’ll provide both one-to-one and small group support, ensuring every child can access the curriculum and make good progress. Key Responsibilities Support the learning and progress of students across a range of subjects

Work with students with additional needs to help them access lessons and build confidence

Support behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment

Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

Build strong, respectful relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Is patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education

Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

Works well in a team but can also use their initiative

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
