About the role

The St John Paul II Multi Academy is a highly successful Catholic Multi Academy encompassing eleven Primary Schools and two Secondary Schools. Our schools are located in the northern part of Birmingham. The ethos of St John Paul II Multi Academy is Catholic and was founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families. As a Catholic multi academy, we aim to provide a Catholic education for all our pupils. As a Catholic multi academy, Catholic doctrine and practice permeate every aspect of every one of our school’s activities. It is essential that the Catholic character of the school’s education be fully supported by all staff within the multi academy. We therefore hope that all staff will give their full, unreserved and positive support for the aims and ethos of the St John Paul II Multi Academy. We are looking to appoint a caring, active and friendly midday play leader to join our midday team at Holy Cross Catholic Primary School. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with children. You will be responsible for supervising children in the dinner hall and playground, leading play activities and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all our children. This may include administering basic First Aid (training will be provided if necessary) and cleaning up the dining area after service. In addition, you will be required to help children eat their lunch, promote good manners and develop their independent skills. You must be professional and polite at all times; proving to be a good role model for our children. If you’re passionate about making a difference in children’s lives and want to be part of our supportive, faith-driven community at Holy Cross we’d love to hear from you.
