About the role

We are seeking a to appoint a Afterschool Club Playworker to support in our extended services team. This role is term time only, 38 weeks per year and 6 hours per week working 2 days per week between 15.00-18.00.

Key responsibilities include:

To work under the guidance of the After School Club Leader, Extended School Leader and Head Teacher to provide child care for pupils attending the After School Club. Working closely with the children providing encouragement, friendship and supervision. To assist the Manager and Head Teacher in offering the children a wide range of play activities and ensuring that the club offers the children a relaxed, informed and caring environment. Establishing good relationships with children - interacting positively with children and encouraging cooperation and mutual support. To be an exemplary role model for staff and pupils. Where applicable, if an applicant with a provisional offer of employment has lived and/or worked outside the UK, they will be required to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct or other overseas police check. Candidates will be required to arrange this themselves if they do not already have the necessary certificate.
