The successful candidate will create a welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued and engaged in a range of stimulating activities. Experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is essential, as a significant proportion of our children attend from Reception age. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with children and families and who understands the developmental needs of young learners. Key Responsibilities Supervise children attending the breakfast and/or after-school club, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. Maintain accurate registers and follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies. Set up and tidy away equipment and resources each session. Support children with additional needs where required. Contribute to creating a warm, inclusive and nurturing environment that reflects the school's values. We Are Looking For Someone Who: Has experience working with primary-aged children, would be wonderful if some of that is within the EYFS. Has a good understanding of child development and the needs of young children. Is warm, caring and enthusiastic. Has excellent communication and teamwork skills. Can use their initiative and remain calm under pressure. Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Holds a relevant childcare qualification (desirable but not essential). Has previous experience in a school, nursery, childcare or wraparound setting. We Can Offer: Friendly and supportive colleagues. Wonderful children who are eager to learn and have fun. Opportunities for training and professional development. A welcoming school community where every member of staff is valued.
