Job Description - Playworker Grade £12.71 per hour / 10 hours per week / Monday-Friday Term time only Location: St Bede Academy Responsible to: The Headteacher, or such other line manager as may be delegated by the Headteacher Key Responsibilities Offering care and support throughout lunchtime; in the dining hall, playground and classrooms Leading play activities during lunchtime Being responsible for the wellbeing and social interaction of pupils during lunchtime Assisting in the domestic care and welfare of pupils at meal times Promoting high standards of behaviour, adhering to the schools Behaviour policy Assisting in the supervision of other activities during lunchtime including the setting out and storing of relevant equipment Ensuring that the outside and inside areas are left tidy Dealing with and reporting incidents and accidents that occur during lunchtime, ensuring policies and procedures are followed correctly Being aware of responsibilities under safeguarding legislation, and reporting concerns to a senior member of staff Person Specification - Playworker Effective time management and organisation Having high expectations of all pupils and being committed to raising their development as learners Good use of initiative High-quality communication skills Building and maintaining successful relationships with pupils and staff Working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team; and carrying out roles effectively, knowing when to seek help and advice from colleagues.
