Job Title: Lead Playworker (Breakfast Club) Actual Annual Salary: £6,056 - £6,600 (Based on hours and working weeks) Full Time Equivalent Salary: £26,798 - £29,208 (CLF Grade B). Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Playworker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. This role is essential in supporting children's development through play and structured activities in a primary setting.

About you:

You will be responsible for:

Building and maintaining effective working relationships with your line manager and fellow playworkers to ensure the smooth running of the play provision. Supervising, coaching and supporting a team of playworkers effectively. Allocate work clearly and provide advice, guidance and quality assure their work. Taking responsibility for the preparation and delivery of activities designed to meet the intellectual, creative, physical, emotional and social needs of the children attending play provision. Taking the lead in providing a stimulating play programme for children considering their individual needs and interests. Promoting positive student behaviour, deal promptly with conflict and incidents in line with academy policy and encourage students to take responsibility for their own behaviour.

Begbrook Academy is a two-form entry primary school with a pre-school, situated in Stapleton, on the outskirts of Bristol.
