Your role - making a difference every day Great schools need great people behind the scenes. Could that be you? We are looking for a practical, proactive and dependable individual who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming and well-maintained environments where children and colleagues can thrive. Based predominantly at St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy , you will play an important role in supporting a cluster of schools across the Glossop area, helping to ensure that our buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, secure and ready for each school day. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. From carrying out essential maintenance and supporting site security to ensuring health and safety standards are met, your work will make a real difference to the everyday experience of our school communities. What will you be doing? Keeping our schools looking their best - Undertaking general maintenance, minor repairs and routine checks to ensure our buildings and grounds remain safe, welcoming and well presented.

Creating safe and secure environments - Supporting site security, completing health and safety inspections, identifying potential risks and helping us maintain high standards of compliance.

Supporting the smooth running of our schools - Providing practical caretaking and porterage support, working with contractors and assisting with the day-to-day management of our premises.

Looking after our buildings and resources - Monitoring heating and building systems, supporting energy efficiency and helping us make sustainable choices.

Being part of something bigger - Working collaboratively with school colleagues and the wider estates team, sharing your skills and responding flexibly to the needs of our schools.
