About the role

We are looking for a great teacher to join us. Working flexibly across the school to provide high-quality teaching and cover support, you will play a vital role in releasing teachers for key responsibilities and creating additional capacity for our team. Kirk Sandall Junior School is a 7-11 school set in the heart of its community. We are a proud member of the Brighter Futures Learning Partnership Multi-Academy Trust and we have a friendly and supportive Local Governing Body. We secured 'strong' in all aspects of our recent Ofsted inspection (April 2026). We value every child who attends our school, and the relationship that we have built with Kirk Sandall Infants to ensure that we have created a nurturing environment where children can flourish as they continue to develop a love of learning and ‘Be confident. We are looking for someone who:

Has recent experience of working with children in KS2 Is hardworking, patient, calm and has a good sense of humour Can work effectively as part of a wider team, including being a Midday Supervisor Will be fully committed to the role, our values, our team and the Trust. The successful candidate will be based at Kirk Sandall Junior School but may be required to work elsewhere within the Trust, as may reasonably be required by the Headteacher/Principal, CEO for the discharge of their duties. The school/UTC will carry out on-line searches as part of their due diligence checks on shortlisted candidates who will also be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered, prior to the date of the interview. You may be asked for further information about your criminal history during the recruitment process. If your application is successful, this self-disclosure information will be checked against information from the Disclosure & Barring Service before your appointment is confirmed. Shortlisted Candidates will complete a self-disclosure form detailing what is ‘protected’ under the Act and should not be disclosed. This MUST be returned before interview.
