We are looking for a committed Lead Administrator, with Reception Duties, to join our team and support the smooth running of the school. Working alongside colleagues across the school, you will play an important part in delivering an efficient, professional and welcoming administrative service that supports the success of our whole school community.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy environment. As one of the first points of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, you will play a key role in the daily life of the school, helping to create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. No two days are the same. From supporting school operations and managing administrative processes to building strong relationships with colleagues and families, you'll be at the heart of a vibrant school community where your contribution is genuinely valued. As a Lead Administrator you will be required to coordinate duties amongst the Reception/Administration Team. Key aspects of the role include Greet all visitors, parents, contractors, and students warmly and professionally. Manage the main school phone, answering or routing phone calls and handling general office email enquiries. Supervise, mentor, or coordinate the wider reception team. Enforce strict site security by ensuring all visitors sign in/out, wear ID badges, and are verified against Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) requirements. Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Strong academic record, including English & Maths GCSE at Grade 4 or equivalent. NVQ level 3 Administration qualification or the willingness to train First Aid Trained or the willingness to train Experience of a busy and sometimes pressurised office environment and the ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy environment and retain a calm demeanour.
