About the role

Are you organised, approachable and brilliant at keeping things running smoothly? Would you enjoy being at the heart of a busy, friendly primary school where no two days are quite the same? Redmile CE Primary School is looking for a positive, professional and highly organised School Administrator to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll be one of the first people our children, families and visitors meet. You’ll help create a warm welcome while providing high-quality administrative support that keeps our school running efficiently behind the scenes. What will you be doing? You’ll work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Administrator and be involved in a wide range of school activities. Your role will include providing a warm, friendly and professional welcome to pupils, parents, visitors and colleagues, while helping to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the school office. Responsibilities include managing pupil information and maintaining accurate records through the school’s MIS, supporting attendance and admissions, including first-day contact with families and welcoming new pupils into school, and producing communications for parents that help us share and celebrate the great things happening across our school. The role also includes the organisation of school trips, transport, diaries and staff cover, as well as key administrative returns, including pupil and workforce census information. You will provide administrative support where required, help maintain the Single Central Record and complete relevant pre-employment checks, support health and safety, first aid and other operational requirements, and maintain the school website to help ensure effective communication with our families and wider community. In short, you’ll be someone we can rely on to help keep everything organised, communicate brilliantly and make sure our school office is a welcoming and efficient place. About You We’re looking for someone who is a natural organiser and an excellent communicator. You will be comfortable managing a range of priorities, using your initiative and remaining calm and professional when the school office is busy. You will hold GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths, or an equivalent qualification, and have strong IT skills, including confidence in using Microsoft Office, web-based systems and information management systems. You will be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, organise and prioritise your workload to meet competing deadlines, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new systems and develop new skills. You will be able to work independently, take initiative and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism, even under pressure. You will also demonstrate discretion, reliability and integrity, particularly when handling confidential information, alongside a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality and celebrating diversity. Why join us? This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in providing an excellent service and wants their work to make a real difference. As our School Administrator, you won’t simply be completing paperwork. You’ll be an important part of school life, supporting our staff, helping our families and contributing to a positive experience for our children every day. You’ll also be part of Rise Multi Academy Trust, where we value professionalism, collaboration, development and, above all, the wellbeing and success of our pupils. Could this be you? If you’re friendly, organised, confident with technology and enjoy being part of a busy team, we’d love to hear from you. Come and bring your skills, enthusiasm and personality to Redmile CE Primary School and help us make a difference every day.
