About the role

Join Our Small School and Make a Big Difference School Office Manager The Governors of Misson Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly organised and professional School Office Manager to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful leadership and management of our school. As the first point of contact for many visitors, parents and stakeholders, the School Office Manager will be at the heart of school life, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our administrative, financial and business functions. Working closely with the Headteacher and Governors, you will contribute strategically to the continued success and development of our school. At Misson Primary School, we pride ourselves on our warm family atmosphere, strong community relationships and commitment to providing the very best education for our children. Our staff work collaboratively, our children are enthusiastic and respectful, and our community is proud of the nurturing environment we provide.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

Has excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.

Has experience of managing office systems and administrative processes effectively.

Can work confidently with financial systems, budgeting and resource management.

Has experience of supporting HR processes, recruitment and personnel administration.

Understands the importance of confidentiality, professionalism and discretion.

Has strong ICT skills and can use management information systems effectively.

Can prioritise competing demands and work independently using their own initiative.

Has excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Is committed to continuous improvement and high standards.

Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents, governors and external agencies.

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The Role Will Include

Responsibility For:

Leading and managing the day-to-day operation of the school office.

Financial management, budgeting, monitoring expenditure and reporting to Governors.

Supporting the Headteacher with strategic business planning.

Managing procurement and ensuring value for money across the school.

Overseeing HR administration, recruitment and maintaining the Single Central Record.

Managing administrative systems and ensuring statutory returns are completed accurately and on time.

Supporting facilities management, maintenance programmes and premises projects.

Coordinating health and safety procedures, compliance monitoring and record keeping.

Ensuring the school remains compliant with GDPR and other statutory requirements.
