About the role

Art Department Technician/Artist in Residence Opportunity Required as soon as possible 10 hours paid work per week at £14.60 per hour (plus holiday pay) We are offering an opportunity to join our successful and creative art department as a technician/artist in residence. The role would entail processing our ceramics, helping develop resources and supporting students with their artwork. Outside of your working hours there is the opportunity to use our art studio space to develop your own practice. The department has a strong artist teacher ethos believing that our students are artists and that we nurture them. This position would suit someone looking for experience of working with art in an educational setting and someonewho would benefit from studio space. In house training will be provided however if you have ceramic or kiln experience this would be advantageous. Macmillan Academy is situated in Middlesbrough on Teesside and was rated good by Ofsted in the most recent inspection. We have over 1500 students on roll, including 300 in Post 16.
