SEN Teaching Assistant

The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic SEN TA, Level 2 (Primary Phase) Sunflower Room (Specialist Provision) to join our dedicated team at the Primary Phase, Abraham Moss Community School, Crescent Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, M8 5UF. T his post is based within our on-site specialist provision, The Sunflower Room, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs from EYFS to Year 6. The successful candidate will be a calm, nurturing and resilient practitioner who can support learning, communication, regulation and wellbeing, enabling pupils to thrive and access an ambitious curriculum in a highly inclusive setting.

Key responsibilities:

To work under the instruction/guidance of teachers and senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes that enable pupils with EHCP/SEND to access learning, develop communication and independence, and achieve their individual outcomes. The post is based within The Sunflower Room, our specialist provision supporting pupils from EYFS to Year 6. Work may take place in the Sunflower Room, within mainstream classrooms as part of planned integration, and during unstructured times (e.g. transitions, play, lunch), according to individual plans and risk assessments .
