Job description

We are looking for a deputy SENDCO to join our Inclusion Team. Our school welcomes students from a wide range of backgrounds and our aim is that all student rise to the challenge. You will lead the operational elements of the SEND department with the other deputy SENDCO under the strategic direction of the Head of Inclusion. You will carry out the day-to-day operational procedures and processes to ensure we build strong professional relationships with students, families and carers, and external agencies. We’re looking for: Ability to build excellent relationships with parents and students. High degree of professionalism when working with external agencies. Genuine care and inclusive mindset to allow all students to flourish. Adaptability and flexibility to manage complex needs and situations. Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills are essential. You will need to be confident using ICT to maintain accurate, liaise with colleagues and external partners, and produce clear written reports. We are looking for someone who is empathetic, approachable and passionate about supporting young people and their families. . Sir Thomas Fremantle is set in North Buckinghamshire for 11-16 year olds serving the local community. The school is in easy reach of Milton Keynes and Aylesbury. We benefit from great facilities - the school building was only opened in 2017.
